An Art Director with the Tenacity of Leslie Knope
Ramblin' Stories is a personal project of mine started in April of 2015 as a way to bring a little creativity to nature. One of my favorite things about hiking is – ironically - meeting new people. There's a camaraderie on the trail that I absolutely love. It's like making a new kind of family - a trail family. So I created a series of little stories, illustrated them, had them printed on Tyvec, and hiked 40 miles on the Appalachian Trail handing them out to give people hoping to give them an extra smile along their journey and make new friends. The idea was that the stories would be passed along from hiker to hiker and make it all the way up the Appalachian Trail, but I really have no way of knowing if that happened.
